Long time no blog! Im so lazy and outta contact with the society ever since exam's over. Cooping myself up at home, dont even feel like going online to msn, only want play Neopets nia :x Anyways, Im currently at woodlands Starbucks now, with my ah en. Accompanying her to study, though I have nothing to study. Hah. Her online friend will be coming to meet us study. Omg, dont know why my ah en can meet up with strangers. Haa. Confirm awkward one lor. Then after that will be meeting ah kui for dinner! So long no see my kuikui. *hair stand* Yesterday went Northpoint mac accompany ah en study too, and I was there studying magazines. Haa. Have been rotting at home since exam was over. So coming out to accompany ah en study allows me to 'jian dao yang guang' :x Okae lah, enough of crapz.
Shall blog on my ah ma's 1 year death anniversary.
Last week, after my examinations, I stayed at home and started to help out in folding the incense papers. Tried to fold many many, cos' anyway it's going to be sort of the last time for my ahma already (first time being ahma's funeral). On Sunday bout 8a.m., my mommy, jie and I reached ahma's voiddeck there to prepare, had some praying kind of ceremony and sat there and rot, and played with my young cousins. It's just like funeral lah the scenario. Blabla-ed, then left there at bout 10pm. Tired like fug.
Some people might be wondering, why we have to do such stuffs for a 1-yr death anniversary? I was too, in doubt, till my mommy told me that it's up to people to decide if they want to hold such a ceremony, but it's not common, however - need quite some amount of cash larh. Not that I'm saying we Tan's family has mountain of cash but just to enlighten you guys.
The next day, which was Monday, 1st Sept '08, was the actual 1-year death anniversary of ah ma. Woke up at bout 6.15a.m. Gosh, tired like fug larh. Went over ahma's voiddeck again. Blabla-ed, sat there daydream, changed clothes blablaed, then after awhile, ceremony started. Kept kneeling and praying and blahed. Had lunch break. Then after that started to carry the stuffs to the field beside NE Court. It started to drizzle.. We hurriedly moved the stuffs all to the 'cage' thingy, lit the fire, and the big big 'houses', bigbig 'mercedez car', and the mountain of incense papers, started to burn. Prayed and prayed, prayed that ah ma and 4th uncle will receive them. The rain was pouring. Stood there, see the stuffs burning away, then went back to the voiddeck. We changed our clothes to bright color clothes, to mark the end of the 1-yr mourning kind of thing. Then, went to help out in burning the boxes of incense papers. Like what one of my cousins said, I doubt in my whole life had I ever burnt such amount of incense papers, not even adding up. Tsk. After having burnt everything, all were marked to an end.
Goodbye ahma!! I miss you!

Hellos! Long time no blog. Hah. Busy studying. And finally, exam's over and done with (: Hopefully fail none. Pretty please? I really dont wish to take supp paper! Omgs. Anyway, for now, just rest well. Weets.
Beijing Olympics' officially over! The top few contests I personally like to watch are namely the table tennis contests, the gymnastics(everything ranging from normal ones to rythmic ones) contests and swimming(diving & synchronized) contests. Being able to witness Singapore's history-making moment is really cool! Finally a silver medal for Singapore after 48years. Thanks to Team Singapore Table Tennis ladies, namely Li Jia Wei, Feng Tian Wei, and Wang Yue Gu.
I admire Feng Tian Wei alot. Can say that she's the ultimate heroine in helping Singapore to achieve the long-awaited medal in the table tennis Teams' matches. She can play really well! From last year's 70+ position in the world ranking, she emerged as no.9 currently! She's one cool young lady, only 21years old! She's turning 22 on 31st August 2008. Believe the medal she's gotten is the best birthday present ever, for her.
Li Jia Wei was a little not-up-to-standard for her first match in the Semi Finals, but in the doubles' match, she slowly picked herself up. She's the captain of the Singapore team, and she's ranked 6 in the world.
Now coming to Wang Yue Gu, the eldest one in the team. She's alright, performed well in her doubles, but singles match was a disappointment. But overall, she's done not too bad too. She's ranked 7 in the world.

So needless to say, the gold medal went to, of course, China. Yes, China team is really the tough-est opponent for the Singapore team. But I believe, as years go along, one fine day in the Olympic games, Singapore team can beat the Chinese team. Gogogo!
For the China team, I personally like Guo Yue the most, followed by Wang Nan and Zhang Yining. Guo Yue is only 20yrs old, and looks like one small boy. She doesnt look like a girl. Hah. She can play really well, and she's really serious. She's world rank no.3. But one thing, she tend to perpire ALOT. Haha. But she's great.
Wang Nan is one of those nicest player I ever seen. She smiles whenever her opponent wins a point. Hah. She's a sweet lady, world rank no.2. She's a really good player.
Moving on to Zhang Yining. Zhang Yining is undoubtedly the World Rank No.1 table tennis player, also known as the Cold-Killer. Yeah. She's really calm during her games, not revealing one bit of emotion. Feng Tian Wei is one calm player too. No smiles at all. Only after she wins a match, will she then reveal her mesmerising smile! Heh. No one is able to win Zhang Yining more than one game per match. She's just so, wow.

Overall, I think Singapore and China Table Tennis ladies are wonderful. They play really well, and really are heroines of their own representing nations. Hoho. I hope that I can see the girls once again in the 2012 London Olympics'. Go Team Singapore!
Moving on to the Gymnastic contests. It's really impressive. Everyone did well, especially those frm China, and the U.S. female teens namely Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnsons. The lil' teens from China are so cute, and being asian, they are very small size and look like kids. Hah.
And the lil' teens from U.S. are so pretty, looks so much mature than Asians :P Showing Nastia Liukin, and then Shawn Johnsons.
Alright that's bout it for Olympics. I dont know why Im so 'into' this Beijing Olympics. Hah. Maybe like what mummy said, it's held in China and hence there will be some kind of 'qing qie gan'. 2012 Olympics will be held in London, Im not sure if I will be so 'into' it, but I think, I'll be looking forward to it! :D
Last but not least, I'd like to say that all these sportsman/women really deserve our respect. *salutes* :p
Alright, I think the more I see this blogskin of mine, the more I dont feel like stepping into my blog. I want to change to a brighter one. And a less XMM one. Do wait for my new blogskin! WEEEE. But doubt I will be doing one on my own, very tedious. Now old already, cant do such skins alr. Oooops.

happy commencement of Beijing Olympics!
today's the OP (Oral Presentation) for Lcomm. just before this day, i've been really worried and scared of this OP, due to LPB being one of our assessors. it felt like im meeting my doom's day. but, perhaps God's by my group's side. my group was not assessed by LPB!!! OMFG. you know how fugging happy my grp was? WAHAHA. ms sylvia lim replaced her! but mr vinod was our accessor for both sessions. really really had to thank mr vinod for saving my group due to some reason, which i think it's not convenient to blog out. anyways, we're grateful to you (:
anyways reached school at bout 8a.m. to rehearse on our OP. basically the whole class just met at 8a.m. lah. haha. so diff grps were doing their own rehearsals outside LT. bout 9.50, shann, terence and i went up to the class before everyone else. LPB was like standing outside the classroom, akimbo-ed, with her face being superb black. the class wasnt late yet what, so early give us her black face for what. haha. i was like, wtf. then others came and started presentation officially. whole class was filled with nothing but silence.
blabla-ed, had lunch break from bout 12 to 2pm. lunchless, again. this week has been skipping lunch lah fug. oh my as im blogging, my stomach's rumbling. and im sleepy. yawns. so yeha, 2pm resumed presentation, only left my grp and one other. my grp went first. it's so so soooooooo much more relaxing than the morning session's. the morning session's atmosphere was SUUUPPEERRBBBB tight. all thks to LPB. i really pity the traumatized group. and im really grateful to God for being by my grp's side. i thought i was presenting quite okay, but in the midst, due to SOME reason, i giggled, and i beared with it, but couldnt take it anymore, and i burst into laughter. WAHAHAHAHAHA. whole class stared at me. i was like, ooops sorry. then carried on. WAHAHAHA. i think i need to train up on my laughter-tolerance-level. one thing i sarked at was the Q&A, didnt really manage to answer much. i was just focusing on my material facts and so i couldnt answer the qns.
nvm, it's all over and done with. i shall open champagne now.
also gonna treat tonight's 7th lunar month dinner as celebration to mark the end of this sem's lcomm OP. WAHAHAHA.

during break, went canteen with jasmine to buy our fav FRENCH TOAST.
it's damn yummy larh!! very very nicely frenched and toasted.
so during the break jasmine and i had this lil' ladies' talk on a certain matter.
sigh sigh sigh.
anyways after CSA, went down to somewhere with my OP grp to do something.
shall be revealed 3days later.
thinking of friday's OP presentation makes me worried like fug.

hmmm. today is CSA lab session again. as usual, i'm in the lab kinda early. reached at bout 12.20pm. i dont know why recently i've been coming to lab early. haha. hmm, while killing time, i was reading a list of unread emails, and i came across this really meaningful one...
A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked,
'Who would like this $20 bill?'
Hands started going up.
He said, 'I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.
He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.
He then asked, 'Who still wants it?'
Still the hands were up in the air.
Well, he replied, 'What if I do this?'
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
'Now, who still wants it?'
Still the hands went into the air.
My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.
It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.

back from this yr's first 7th lunar month dinner, which was held at khatib. this dinner is one of the grand kind. but the auction is boring lah, nothing much, just martell, martell, and more martell. daddy bid for this bag of rice, for $588. wtf he thinking. LOL. and of cos he got it larh. anyway beside the dinner thing is ge tai, and i see people like ah nan uncle, mark lee, hui ge and jack neo. anyway the purpose of me attending such dinner is to E-A-T, EAT. yummy.
next dinner on next friday, which is after my OP presentation. so, will take the dinner as a kind of 'celebration' to mark the end of OP proj for the sem. cheerios!

hmm today went to singapore poly with ah en as she had DPA interview. hmmm. she said she felt that the chances of getting into TP shld be higher than that of SP's. and that, she prefers TP than SP. weeeeeee.
hmmm. anyways OB presentation and roleplay is officially over and done with yesterday. yes! my grp achieved highest points. but i'd like to say that all groups did very well, and we ought to applause for ourselves(: next presentation, macroecons, on monday. JIAYOU. and finally, the most important presentation of the sem, OP. im really scared. fug.
oh well. bout 1.5hours later, the gates of hell's gonna open. MUAHAHAHA. :x anyways, will be accompanying mummy go down to burn incense papers and stuffs. so tmr night, the very first night of 7th lunar month, i'll be having the "7th lunar dinner" thingy. five such dinners to attend. so there will be auctions and blah. oh, and ge tai yo.

today, i snoozed alarm from 8+a.m to 10+a.m. WTF. such a sleepy morning! if not for OP proj discussion i'd have slept till 12noon. it's so fugging sleepy! then i puuuulled myself outta bed and irritated jie outta bed. haha. went school tgt with jie nors. so sleepy. ARGH. OP discussion from 1pm to 3pm, then had macro tutorial for only 1hr. HENG, if not i could have died. yea, seriously, DIED. went tp busstop wait for ah en. after some time she came.
ah en came TP for her DPA interview. woots. since it's like over, dont brood over it anymore. hohoho. well, being selfish is human nature. i'd love to have you over here in TP. however, for your interest and future, maybe yeah, you should go SP (: whatever your decision, i'll support you!
tomorrow, going school with jie again at 10a.m. GOT TO WAKE UP SO EARLY OMFG.
then will have csa lab session from 1pm-4pm, and then after that gotta stay back for 1+ to 2hrs for OB discussion. im really tired. fuggit :(
now, it's all about projs and presentations. then need to chiong studies for main exam. im fugging stress now. im learning to accept all these as part n parcel of a poly student's no-life life. but still, im still trying hard to cope.

today's lcomm lesson was just for OP discussions. i was practically going crazee, due to the amt of contradicts and unclear issues as to the hypothetical case. arguments were made. hah, and it was shiok to kind of debate. and in the midst, my group thought of SOMETHING SUPER HILARIOUS. made the whole grp burst out into laughter. and i know my OP grp was really noisy today, but well, there's time to be serious, and there's time to let your hair down and be crazee. crazee for at least awhile, just a while. i mean, you cant be cracking your head for hours right. have to relax and have a good laugh out of the crazee ideas. anyway, im sure after these 3yrs of legal studies, you will find Tricia having grown horrendous amount of white white hair. if singapore's lawyers are still wearing wig, im so sure i do not have to wear one if im a lawyer in the future. my own hair will be the white wig then.
captain's ball event was postponed due to the rain. i was forced to play like so impromptu as there's some people backing out in the last minute. and for goodness sake i was wearing super-not-sports-attire and heels. LOL. but anyway they were so desperate that i really had no choice but to play. in the end, waited for hours and i decided to just leave cos i think game's postponed.
took 969 all the way to woodlands!! my gawd! was freezing, and weary, and just rotted during the near-to-an-hour trip. gosh. met darling, eric tan, kelvin, mingyi, yujie and weili for dinner at causeway to celeb eric's bday. walked past timezone, and i was saying that it's been reali long since i last went in to timezone and play. so en and i went in to play. HAHA. the fun-est game was the 'drum' one. ah en, i want to play again! hahahas. but it caused our hands to ache somehow. lol. after few rounds of games, we went walk around again. wanted to settle dinner at pizza hut but fullhouse. after a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong consideration and blah, decided to settle at F-O-O-D-C-O-U-R-T. LOL. chatted blabla, left at 9.30pm. the guys went to catch movie while en and i decided to head back to yishun. hee.
as my heels were killing me, i decided to take a cab home. 'song' en home first then back to my house. oh ya we sat this something-like-7-sitter cab. it's damn cool. veri comfortable! very very quiet, seriously. unlike other cabs that go 'vrrooommm'.
okay im worn out. tmr going study and sunday going do proj. gosh. im just leading a project-life now. but it's okay, im learning to accept it as part and parcel of a poly life.

wow! ah en is shortlisted for 2 DPA interviews! HAHAHA. feel so happy for her lah. she got the first call from SP, and the second from TP(WOOSH!). hahaha. hmmm i still remembered vividly how much i was waiting for, for an unknown number to call me for my DPA interview last year. my phone was always beside me every minute n every second. and i was just checking my phone for missed calls every min and every second lah. but eventually not even one called me. oh fug. anyways, en's interview for the TP one will be on the coming monday. gonna meet her up and accompany her! WOOSA WOOSA. it's a good feeling to know that your good good jie mei might be coming to your poly to study. hahahaha.
